One Last Step

Buongiorno!

Well, it has been a while, but I have made progress. I love the ginormous pallet chair. The six inch very dense cushions turned the old pallet wood into a soft, comfortable resting place. Now I have to cover the cushions. This is where I find myself floundering. I thought if I went to the Goodwill store, I'd find some kind of bedspread or sheet that would become my cushion cover as the coffee bean bags are way too scratchy for comfort. Since the pallets were red and blue, I was thinking I'd make it Americano. I found some fabric, but it was a little over the top with red, white, and blue. I also found an off white sheet. This may work. Sheets are comfortable and cool to the touch on a hot summer day.

Anyway, since my last blog, I have completed my fall garden as I waited too long to plant a summer garden. I’ve spread lots of mulch, planted hydrangea, jasmine, and a few other landscaping items. Oh, did I mention building six 4x8 frames and loading, transporting, and dumping 20 wheel barrels of dirt? THAT may not happen next year!

With the pallets I bought, I have built compost bins, an herb garden, and the pallet chair. I have one pallet left and my pallet chair needs a side table. However, I can get barrels from my supplier, so I might do that instead. I still have many ideas. I feel patient and impatient all at the same time. I am so eager to complete all my projects, but I don’t like to complete things until I’m satisfied with the outcome.

Here are some pictures, and I’m hoping for some suggestions on my last step. I still need to paint the arms and legs to match the rest of the chair, but I need advice on covering the cushions. I plan to use coffee bean bags to cover pillows for it. In addition, here is the link to this über fun project! Oh yeah, DON"T JUDGE MY CHAIR!!! J
